Plot Summary

Private Eyes is an engaging primetime procedural private detective drama featuring two strong and forever-competing characters investigating high-stakes cases of the week, taking them to many diverse worlds and testing their new partnership. Ex-professional sports player Matt Shade (Jason Priestley, Call Me Fitz, Beverly Hills, 90210) irrevocably changes his life when he decides to team up with fierce P.I. Angie Everett (Cindy Sampson, Rookie Blue) to form an unlikely investigative powerhouse.

On the ice, Shade learned how to hustle, read people and anticipate their moves. Working with Angie, Shade sees an opportunity to redeem himself from his chequered past and discovers a fantastic rush of adrenaline, causing him to realise that he’s found a new home for his skills. Angie may find Shade naïve in the way that he sees the world, but his passion and heart bring something special to her one-woman business. At the core of Private Eyes is the fire-and-ice relationship between Shade and Angie.

Returning for a super-sized 18-episode second season, Shade has officially joined Everett Investigations as Angie’s partner, but they quickly realise they have contrasting views of how the business should run; Angie prefers strategic thinking, while Shade jumps in with both feet. One thing’s clear: their contrasting skillsets yield results when it comes to solving cases. As their success grows, the cases get bigger and more sophisticated, plunging them into the diverse worlds of auto racing, real estate, high fashion, and private school privilege. Through all the bickering and disagreements, there’s an undeniable romantic attraction between the two – something they’ll have to acknowledge sooner or later…
